Presidents' Letter December 2014

Greetings -

As 2014 comes to a close, I would like to acknowledge my sincere appreciation to the 2014 CHEO Board Members: Diane Minch, for providing our top-notch programs; Eddie Reymond for his support and generosity; Nancy Wart and Rita Richesin for their work with membership and upgrading our bookkeeping system; Lynne Higgins, who has been my "go to" support as VP, newsletter editor and instrumental in multiple other endeavors; Stephen Kerr’s consistent support and cut-to-the-chase insights; Danae Miley’s help with our Annual Meeting; Val Whiting for many years as our secretary; Kathy McMillin for serving as Secretary pro tem, and Mary Ann Collins for her support and insight as past president.

Christina Diaz, owner of Fleur de Luna Wellness Center says,”The Method of Inviting Happiness and Healing into my life has been a transformational experience. I am honored to be of service as a guide and to share the best of the experiences and knowledge I have cultivated throughout my lifetime.”  Her focus for Fleur de Luna is to provide a physically and psychologically safe environment to offer personal coaching and guidance for women at a crossroads in their personal and/or career lives.  Christina’s vision for her next endeavor is to create a series of on-line courses, Inward Journey Toward Freedom, for personal transformation.

Spread the Love with Pandas and Pennies

A wonderful opportunity to Spread the Love child to child!

Judge Tm Irwin and Judge Richard Bean have Spread the Love programs for children who are the subject of abuse and neglect proceedings in their courtrooms. Judge Tim Irwin collects NEWstuffed animals. Judge Richard Bean collects pennies for new underware for these children.  There is a tremendous need for this at the Richard L. Bean Juvenile Service Center which houses adolescents ages 12 – 17.  Donations of pennies can be taken to the Richard L.
