culpI am a Sioux Indian from South Dakota. I believe loving nature is just in me, a very important part of who I am. I have always loved being outside learning about plants, trees, animals, rocks, the stars… South Dakota is very beautiful, the sunsets are gorgeous. I find peace there when I go to visit, but it is very cold. My family eventually moved south to Illinois, where I had most of my schooling and then to Tennessee. Kind of like a moving glacier stopping here and there, picking up and dropping off until, you stop. I hiked and camped all over the Southern states, learning all about the different flowers, trees and language of the south. I’m still doing and moving, though, just taking smaller steps.

I have been a Brownie, Girl Scout, newspaper girl, cheerleader, long distance runner, a waitress, housekeeper, cattle grouper, Ocoee clean-up crew, phone operator, detail spa inspector, customer service rep, keypunch operator, tool crib set-up handler, logistics coordinator, jewelry manager, actress, cashier, security guard, Malcolm Baldrige preparer and an excessive volunteer worker.?

I enjoy different crafts, easy recipes, traveling, learning languages, gardening, music, dancing, pow-wows, hiking, canoeing/paddle boarding, horseback riding, bowling, a good salad, snowmobiling, ice skating outside, making a snow angel, and lying in a hammock staring at the stars or laying on a float watching the clouds go by. Hmm heaven. ?

I became a Secretary and advanced to Administrative Asst. to the President in no time. I liked the variety of work that came with it. My experience enabled me to travel the US mainly, with Manpower Temporary Services. Updating my resume with each move. I learned to be independent, hard-working and continued to educate myself. After tiring of the daily drive to Knoxville, I started looking for work closer to home (Sweetwater Tennessee). I found a massage school there, graduated and had my own business for 10 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I thoroughly enjoyed helping people physically feel better and mentally, giving them nothing to worry about for an hour. It was very rewarding.

During that time, I met Diane Minch, who led me to a wonderful herbal product line called Sunrider. I became a Lifestyle Consultant soon after and have helped people to live a healthier life. Sunrider has a large selection of products all safe and effective. Diane also introduced me to CHEO, a holistic organization with people with the same healthy mind set as mine. For 10 years now, if people talk to me about wellness, I talk to them about Sunrider and invite them to a CHEO presentation. Tai chi movements, foods to help prevent cancer, thyroid normal or not, meditation, treating chronic pain, and chelation therapy are just a few of the program’s presented.

On one of my trips to Illinois to visit family, I had lunch with a friend, Joyce Campbell who told me about her business, Ambit Energy.  Ambit Energy provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets across the United States.  Before lunch was over, I was a Marketing Consultant. Together Joyce and I help people save money on their electric, natural gas or solar power bill and they have the opportunity to earn free energy.  I like the fact that there is no inventory to keep, no product education, nothing to sell.  So I get to help people save money on a bill they have to have and can’t live without.

Green-e-LogoI am proud to be a part of Ambit Energy that offers Green-e Energy certified renewable electricity, which means when you choose one of Ambit’s Certified Green Plans, you’ll be reducing the environmental impact of energy you use.  Not everyone can display this logo.  Ambit can.  Ambit Cares is made up of corporate employees and consultants, like me, that volunteer their time to help fight hunger, in a nation where one out of six people face hunger every day.

I believe in preventive care. Eat right, exercise and make good healthy choices, save money so you’re prepared for whatever might happen. I would say to people, to help others as much as possible, it just feels good to do so. Be open-minded, try new things, strive to be better and share your knowledge. There are a lot of no’s in my business. No I don’t want a massage, no I don’t want to get healthy, no I don’t want to save money, no no no but when there’s a yes, wow, it just makes up for all those no’s.?I have witnessed people’s lives change with good healthy choices and good financial decisions.

I like owning my own business, setting my own hours and meeting new friends. I like the peace of mind knowing, I can pass on my business to a family or friend. My smile comes from Sunrider and the light in my eyes comes from Ambit.

There is a constant theme here, I love to help people stay healthy and live a good long life and save money so they can enjoy their good long life. My attitude determines my altitude, and I want to fly high like an eagle.

You have always been beautiful onside and out. I enjoyed my time working with you and being your friend. I’m now in Idaho helping my elderly folks out. My wife Libby passed away in 2010 so I’m just hanging out. You are a very smart and successful person and always knew you would be.
