Q. What brought you to Alternative Health and the field/product you’re involved with?

A. I have always been interested in the health field. My undergraduate work was in nursing and physical therapy. For some reason, I knew that nursing and physical therapy was not right for me. At this time, I had no idea about Acupuncture. My dad was Dr. Michael Buckridge, may he rest in peace. He was a Chiropractor in Morristown TN. In 2004, I went through a divorce. My life was changing. At this time, my dad was continuing his education in Acupuncture. He encouraged me to go back to school. I took his advice, and graduated from the American Academy of Acupuncture in Roseville MN in 2009.

Q. Tell us about yourself.
A.
I love to smile and make people laugh. I view life as glass half full, not empty. I am particular on what I do and will not cut corners. When someone tells me a story that is devastating to them, I try to find the positive side of it. Once a month, I do Community Acupuncture in South Knoxville Community Center and at Angie’s Acupuncture. This warms my soul! In the summer time I enjoy lake time and Splash Country - fun in the sun! During the Winter I enjoy watching movies and dancing.

Q. Where are you from and how long in the Greater Knoxville area?
A.
I was born at Ellsworth Air force base in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1971. We moved around a lot since my dad was a Pastor with many different churches and later a Prison Chaplin. Moved to TN in1993 and started undergraduate school at Walter State, Morristown TN. In 2004, Then moved to MN to attend the American Academy of Acupuncture in Roseville MN until 2009, with my Acupuncture License Completed, I moved back to TN. My practice is in Seymour TN inside of “Back and Neck Relief Clinic.”
